Our Story
Ten Acre Woods is a family-run endeavor, taken on by the Poché family — Jeremy, Jeanne, and our three daughters. We blend the artistry of nature with the joy of creating, forming a unique family-centered experience. Our mission is to nurture growth, confidence, wonder, and a sense of community through engaging online content and immersive on-site experiences. We are dedicated to fostering independence and imagination through hands-on activities and the cultivation of our land.
We have a very holistic approach to the way we live our life: raising our children, following our passions, providing financially - they all seem to blend into one another. We deeply believe in living a life entwined, and alongside, our children. Taking them along for the ride while they develop and deepen their own callings. And we deepen ours.
Jeremy, by trade, is an engineer. He spends his free time tending to the land and exploring woodworking. He is always thinking of a way to design, improve, or build something new. He and our girls have never met a spare part that belonged in the garbage bin.
Jeanne has professionally dabbled in everything from photography and wardrobe styling to marketing. By trade, she is a Waldorf-trained teacher. These days, she spends her free time creating and writing, and also crafting with our girls. She is passionate about connecting with other women and like-hearted community.
Our girls, like all kids, are inherently creative geniuses who constantly inspire us. They create nearly as often as they breathe. At any given moment, they can be found frolicking outside, drawing, building a fairy house, or playing at forest school.
